LaRae Dockter, Discovery Childcare Center Director

Discovery Childcare Center is owned and operated by lifelong Bismarck resident, LaRae (Benz) Dockter. LaRae graduated from St. Mary's Central High School and from Dickinson State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Childcare and education have been a lifelong passion for LaRae and she looks forward to welcoming your family to Discovery Childcare Center.

Discovery Childcare Center will hire teachers based on their genuine love for children and willingness to commit themselves to enriching the lives of the children for whom they care. They will be required to have a qualified educational background as identified by the ND Department of Human Services, Children and Family Services state guidelines.

Additionally all staff members will participate in continuous programs of in-service education to keep them current in early childhood best practices. Each full time teacher is required to participate in over 13 hours of training each year.

All Discovery Childcare Center staff will be asked to participate in First Aid and CPR certification. At a minimum each classroom will have one certified staff person at all times

All personnel at Discovery Childcare Center must successfully pass a criminal background check and fingerprint scan.
